Anyone remember the post about the skulls they found in the hood a few months back? Anything from Native American Burial Grounds to Voodoo was discussed. They were found on the site of an old Migrant's Orange Grower's Camp. Well the mystery thickens Could be grave robbers. They never expected this. The skulls and artifacts found were Incan.

I remember it. Sure would like to know how those skulls got there.

That works out just fine for me. We'll be returning from a 4 day vacation to Sonoma (wine country) and San Francisco on Thursday the 7th. And NO.............won't be taking Casper, I couldn't sleep at night in the hotel for worrying about his well being!!

If you guys will give me an idea of what or how you want to do and what days, I can get the guys together. I know Friday night is kind of a lost cause so tell me what you have in mind for Saturday and Sunday and I will try to get the word out to the others. Jimbo is an excellent choice for a tour of the twisties and scenery. He has been down in this area a lot longer than me.
Tomorrow the beast will roar back to life. Just a few more minor items and then I upload the Jannety tune... :party0038:

You crack the whip, I'll take the trip!
I'd like to take you guys to Markleville for lunch at an awesome outside restaurant in that quaint little vacation paradise, then up Monitor Pass, talk about SCENIC TWISTIES! Monitor Pass is the number one all time best voted California motorcycle riding route. Ain't too shabby for cars either.

I've got the shortest drive at about 470 - 500 miles. I'm figuring on about 8 - 9 hours behind the wheel since I don't want to test out the "eye in the sky."

I'm considering taking 95 and crossing into Cali on US 6 to 395 to 50 on into So Lake Tahoe passing Yosemite along the way. It's gonna be less mind numbing than taking 95 all the way up even though the route is a little longer.

My old neighbor (now lives with his daughter and rents out his town house) is a "real" old fart of 85, gave up his Goldwing last fall after 70 years of riding. He wanted to go over my route with me and made it qure plain that he didn't like he idea of me going solo. He's kinda like the dad I never had, lol.

I figure to be on the road about 7am which means I'll be out the door by 8 and get in to Tahoe between 5 and 6. Jay may roll in before me depending on when he leaves UT.

It's funny how this trip is now close enough to "feel" real.

Sounds like a fun route Linda, mucho better than droning along on 95 all day.
We'll make plans then to hook up with you guys on Saturday morning. As Vince said earlier, he'll alert the other guys (I've never met any of them yet) about all this. Gonna be a killer weekend, for sure.
Question for you Linda..............is that little six cylinder going to be able to make it all the way up here??? <SLAP> - ouch, that hurt, lighten up, I was just funnin' with ya!!

PSA - First Annual WCOFF to Tahoe

Folks,

I just got off the phone and there are still a few rooms available for the nights of June 8th, 9th and 10th in Tahoe.

If any of our Ol' Fart Thread mates is interested in flying or driving in, please PM me and I'll be happy to provide the details.

In addition, if you are interested in getting name decals for your car for this event or for the summer cruising season, you still have time to order them.

Here is a link that shows the final result on my car at the top of the thread, but also some mock ups if you scroll down few posts. If you decide to order the from Paul (Xmicro_SS) you can arrange to have them mailed to you or I'll be happy to "Camaro-carry" them with me to Tahoe.
