My 2011 2LT, A6, now at 22-1/2 months and 4,225 miles. TCM (transmission control modual) replaced last summer. A6 seemed to have minor shift lag between 2nd and 3rd. Read on Camaro5 a few others also felt lag. First the dealer tested transmission in shop and nothing found (guess they tested on computer). At that time we arranged for a test drive a few days later with their transmission specialist as that day he was on vacation. Told them I read on Camaro5, blah, blah, and sent them the weblink. A few days later dealer transmission guy test drove mine, then compared test drove a brand new one on lot, sure enough, shifts were slightly slow on mine (I went along for the extensive test drives with their transmission speaclist). Apparently this was first time reported to GM. They ordered the part, car was in the shop for two days, they offered a loaner which I declined as did not need a loaner.
Last, very slow leak in right front tire, nothing extreme. They dismounted tire from wheel, remounted tire to wheel. Problem solved. I knew from other cars I owned, you have to have a good seal with tires on alumin. wheels. Both these issues were minor, most people would not even think they could be warrenty issues. My dealer service has always been efficient, friendly, fast. When the TCM was replaced I took the Camaro in clean. Got it returned with bird droppings. Pointed this out and they quickly washed the car while I waited. Within 24 hours received one of those emails from dealership regarding service experience, I replied nicely service experience was excellent but if the car is brought in clean, should be delivered clean (but they did wash after I pointed out bird poop). Within one hour got an email back from the service manager offering me a free wash and detailing because I had to wait an extra 15 mins. Never took them up on their offer but it was a nice they offered. |

My warranty is up in August.
I have used it mostly to replace moldings, and update the ECU.

Looking the part #'s up online I see that they are: - Control Solenoid Valve Assembly With Body And Transmission Control Module - Automatic Transmission Service Central Solenoid Valve Assembly Seal Kit So far after 35 miles of driving things appear fine. Should I be worried or check anything to make sure that no damage was done when the car was messed up? I've also had the rear diff seal replaced, and I mentioned the paint chip issue when I first got my car but I got blown off that anything would be done about it. It was ninety nine cents!

At 19000 Miles I started having an intermittent squeal at 3-6k RPM because of this, I am having my serpentine and AC belt replaced, as well as window moulding on both the left and right side of the doors under warranty.
(Car goes in to be fixed monday.) Previously, I had the BCM update to correct the TSB over the air conditioning not turning off after being used. (never actually noticed it, because I hadn't even used my AC at that point of the car's life. Otherwise nearly 20000 incredibly fun miles of permagrin with no issues.

I have only had the car a little over a month and have had zero functionality issues. I bought her with 5400mi and now at 6400.
The steering wheel does have loose stitching, the driver side mirror a paint bubble, and the front passenger side fascia a rock chip. But I didn't think those could be repaired under warranty...? I am wanting to install GM splash guards, so I guess I will ask when I call the local dealership.

Exactly 3 years of owning a SS and NEVER required warranty work. In fact, the only time it ever saw a dealers service bay was for the annual state inspection.
