As far as I know, the No-Lift-Shift is independant of the PTMs. It should work no matter what mode you're in.
I can't verify that just yet because I'm still in the break in period on my Vert. BTW The Verts dont have the PTM modes the coupes do, just normal and competition mode. |

I no lift shifted today outside of PTM.
I've also been practicing launching with traction control completely off and I'm getting good at taking off fast with little/no wheel spin |

So when you no lift shift in normal PTM modes does it bounce off the rev limiter or does it keep the rpm tame for the next gear?

Oh it will hit the red line if the shift isn't quick enough. Done that already. In fact I don't see it trying to hold any specific rpm between shifts, just boost.

its tough on the brain not lifting off the gas. out of a dozen trys i had 1 perfect launch and shift but its so hard to hit those shift lights perfectly so the car doesnt buck or hit the limiter. i think i prefer old school launching where i lift to shift.

Does it work only if you start having used launch control? I tried once while on the track from 3rd to 4th and it seemed like I revved about 6500 RPM's (YIKES). Tried it again today up to just over 6000 and it didn't seem like the rev's were going to slow. The track try was in PTM mode 3 and the road try was out of PTM all together. I am dubious.

Do you even lift, bro?

My TC'd 2009 Cobalt NLS works in any mode as long as you're @ WOT. The TC'd Cobalts have traction control, launch control and competitive modes and it works in all 3. Know it doesn't directly help you here but just throwin out some knowledge

In the old days we always speed shifted, we never lifted. The only bad thing is back then no rev limiter and if you missed a shift you could over rev it floating the valves. Valve springs back then where not that good. We are talking 1968 1970.
