A few more cosmetic mods

Well as winter continues to drag on I decided to add a few more cosmetic mods to pass time. I can't wait for Spring time to drive it again; but this will have to do for now.

CF wrap Flowtie - I really don't like the truck size bowtie on the grill and I thought this helps clean it up imo. Came out better than I expected.

Trunk LED light with CF wrap trunk trim.

Added rear footwell lighting to match the front.

I did it myself. I removed the original bowtie, cut the inner gold fill out and wrapped it in carbon fiber. Then I cut out a bowtie pattern in the grill itself. There already is a bowtie pattern embossed in the grill that matches the size of inner emblem bowtie; so it was pretty easy.

Looks good. I did the same. But kept chrome trim.

I love the flowtie. Nice look. And functional as well. You should post a dyi on this for members like myself who are mechanically challenged.

I didn't take pics while doing it. I suppose I could do a write up; but there is an older thread on here where another member did the same mod. Here is another pic in natural lighting.

The flowtie looks awesome. Especially since the ZL1 grille has the bow tie trim around the flowtie.
And how did you mount the rear footwell lights. I wanted to do my rear when I did my front but couldn't find a good spot

What did you use to cut the gold bowtie out?
