Pull them off, powdercoat them, reinstall. Probably be about $250...can get any stencil you want as far as logos too.

Just got confirmation from "on high"....calipers are different. Not a direct swap.
So...the 1LE caliper will not work with a ZL1 rotor, and a ZL1 caliper will not work with a 1LE rotor. |

The Camaro SS, ATS-V, Grand Sport, Z06 and CTS-V all have the same rear brake pad size. This makes me think that the ZL1 has the same rear pad size since the rear rotors are the same size as the CTS-V & Z06.
https://centricparts.centriccatalog....7&i=1&uid=ANR& On the other hand, the CTS-V front pads are a different shape to the Camaro/ATS-V/Grand Sport/Z06 front pads. That means the ZL1 is likely to be different as well. https://centricparts.centriccatalog....7&i=1&uid=ANR& https://centricparts.centriccatalog....7&i=1&uid=ANR& So, it could be possible to upgrade the 13.3" 1LE/Grand Sport/ATS-V to 14.4" ZL1/CTS-V/Z06 rear rotors. And a 14" Grand Sport may be able to upgrade to 14.6" Z06/ATS-V/1LE front rotors. But unlikely anything can be interchanged with the 15.3" ZL1/CTS-V front rotors. Damn I love this site. After doing some research of my own and then confirming via this discussion. I wont be trying to swap the brakes. However, I'm working out a deal to swap the rims of a 1LE. I just do not like these rims on the ZL1, pain in the ass to clean. Thanks again to all, particularly to Mr. Wyndham... good looking out!

I have a hard time seeing GM sourced 5 different types of Brembo 6 piston calipers when those calipers can handle any of the performance cars they are coming installed on just fine.
I just had my hands on my 1LE calipers yesterday, to pad I hadn't seen this in time otherwise I would have taken some measurements. |
