Here was the last CTS-V coupe test by Motor Trend, its labeled as a 2011 and a 2012. This is the automatic too, this should be the faster car of the two.

Saw one of these at the Texas Mile this past weekend. The pointed 3rd brake light on the deck-lid ruins the back end of the car. Should have just made a flush mount design.

It's actually a functioning spoiler they integrated into the design.

I did some bore and stroke experiments with the 5.0 and 5.4 earlier.
The 5.4 uses a 3.55 bore and the 5.0 uses a 3.63. The maximum the 5.4 can be taken out is 3.70 only if the aluminum is used (so I heard), I used a 5.4 rod (4.165) in both simulations. Both 5.0 and 5.4 would need a bore of 3.661 (5.753 liter) to 3.667 (5.776 liter) and remain a 351 ci.

Now, that is only .030 over for the 5.0 and .110 over in the 5.4. Boring the engines looks extremely bad in the 5.4 engine but if the plasma transferred wire arc process is used it looks more favorable in the 5.0 with the extra aluminum when the iron cylinder liners are not used.

I think that a bored 5.4 to 5.8 liters is almost impossible, even if it was, the engine would be garbage. The 5.0 using the 5.4's, 4.165" rods and a .033 over bore to 3.663 would make it a 5.753 liter (5.8) or 351.06 ci.

There are already pistons available for the Coyote measuring a 3.66" bore. I also believe the long stroke 5.0 would use the 5.4's forged crank along with the connecting rods so that is good news to me. The only thing completely new in the engine would be the 3.66" pistons.

Why not just go to a Mustang forum and have this conversation there? There are way too many Mustang threads on Camaro5.
I own a camaro. I've actually owned two since they've been out. I traded the V-6 ,but I still have the SS. I own more GM vehicles then any other make. But, I'm also a car guy and I love a good conversation about any type of performance car. I don't really understand how a forum can have an other cars section and contradict themselves by banning and warning people for post too often in them.
Maybe you should change this section to any car but the mustang. Come chat about other cars so long as it's not the mustang. That's your competition boys. Haven't you ever heard the old saying "keep your friends close and your enemies closer"?

Gotcha. Makes more sense. I would still prefer the flush look. I think the car would look close to perfect as such.

There was a 4-door CTS-V there with a loud exhaust that was running in the 180's. It is almost shocking to see a 4 door car trucking along that fast.

Agreed. I would also point out that I enjoy Pill's perspectives and thoughts--far more, in fact, than any post I recall from "Milk1027" (the moderator/censor).

Perhaps Milk should not be a moderator for a section entitled: "General Automotive + Other Cars Discussion Come chat about other cars."? His views are clearly inconsistent with the expressly stated nature of this section.

You don't know anything about me or what I do here, so don't be quick to judge.
