"A light blue is dead and gone. It's been stated and re-stated. It did not sell well at all so GM cancelled it. Period"

Or maybe they did not make enuff AMB? make what 2,600+ AMB then stop out of how many black camaros? and AMB sells dont look so good if they dont make enuff? I know they probbly base the colors made off of pre orders or orders but can you really base color sales off that 100% can they?

AMB is what my wife wanted, But to hard to find ls3 AMB in my area, Iv seen maybe 3 AMB in person since the camaro has came out there rare from what Iv seen, every other camaro I see is black. maybe that has to do with the orders from that state??

If the color was really bad then why does it occasionally reappear on other products? After the '99 Camaro and its medium blue, a similar blue palette reappeared when the TBSS was brought out in Superior Blue, in which it was only offered for 2006.

Its a moody color which, if handled right, IMO could really promote coolness and good looks to the zl1. It also happens to be one of my favorites!

GM: Silver is nice and all... but please please market blue!

Don't get me started on a true blue Camaro!

JSB makes me light-headed.

Gals like it too.

At first most dealers didn't know they could order ABM in a v8 form, and the color online never gave the color justice sort of like the SGM. I am willing to bet if they brought it back it would sell more then SGM does

I think Jetstream Blue would be amazing on the Camaro if they brought it to the lineup, much more suited for the Camaro than Aqua Blue Metallic, IMO. All I know is Camaro should have a real bright blue as an option, especially over IBM, yuk! Even if they had Nassau Blue, etc... I would consider JSB or NB on my ZL1. But right now GM is only leaving me with 3 different options I would consider: Summit White, Rally Yellow, and Inferno Orange Metallic, that is if these colors are offered in 2012.

I think they've said a few times that historically...across all models, light blues do not sell. No matter how beautiful (and I agree, they are beautiful).

I guess we'll see...

I love LeMans Blue - Marina Blue - Mulsanne Blue - Quasar Blue - ABM - Jetstream blue -- etc.

I've always loved them and in fact going back to my earliest days - I wanted a bright blue schwinn bicycle!

To wit: My bright blue "Stingray" Schwinn (circa 1965) is in Mom Settlemire' garage - and my bright blue Schwinn "Collegiate" is in my garage in Grosse Pointe Farms, MI

That said:

We offered a bright blue in the late years of the 3rd gen - cancelled because it did not sell.

We offered Bright Blue in the 1999 model year --- it was cancelled in a few months. Why? Did not sell.

We offered ABM - and announced we were going to drop the color. The reason? It was our lowest runner. Once we announced it? WE did not see any influx of orders.

I love bright blues.

Some of you love bright blues.

We are listening.

However, we as custodians of the brand need to make hard decisions (many of the decisions we make result in many sleepless nights...)

If a color does not sell well - and it falls below a certain level - we get a 60-day warning to either get the penetration up - or it is jettisoned from the palette - simply because paint will deteriorate in the vats.

Would bright blue sell on an Impala and an Equinox and a Regal?

Well ABM was even more abysmal -- in terms of number of cars painted ABM - on Impala last year than it was on the Camaro!

So - while I - and some of you -- love Bright blues - the reality is that they have not been well received since the 60s on most cars - and the mid 80s and early 90s on Camaro.

I don't like telling anyone "No" - it bothers me more than you'll ever know - but I post this so that you will understand WHY we don't have Jetstream blue or ABM in the Camaro lineup.

And - for those who might say "well - if it were Jetstream Blue - it would have sold better" - a lil story for you.

Our friend Jerry from New Jersey was at the 14th annual Fbody Gathering in Atlanta last May. He has a Berger Camaro painted in Jetstream blue.

If you put his car next to an ABM car - there's a decided difference - BUT - if you place a Camaro of any other color between Jerry's Berger Camaro and an ABM Camaro? You can barely tell any difference.

Thus - I hope you'll better understand.........

We DO listen!

Yellow is "Bumblebee"....and as low as that number is....ABM was worse. It is a sad day, for sure....
