Another potential "challenger" for the Maro!!
Greetings guys!!
Hope this finds you and yours well! Well, as some of you may have read, GM insiders are "hinting" that they may bring back the FireChicken instead of the GTO, or maybe both. Well Chrysler is kicking around the idea of bringing back the 'Cuda, from the Challenger concept of course. Who knows?!?!?! I say, bring them ALL on, and call them the "Ricer Killers"!! Just add some tunes from Boston, Scorpions, and uh.......Iron Butterfly, and let the tire smoking commence. Regards fellas!! Mike............waitin' on the Maro!

Perhaps Chrysler is going to bring back plymouth? They kinda need a way to make economical cars, though i don't see how a 'cuda would do that. But I am EXTREMELY doubtful that either Plymouth or the 'Cuda are comming back.
And as for pontiac, I see it as more likely that their next performance car will be the GTO, uh, again. GM doesn't need to twin its vehicles anymore. So cars will be more like mere siblings with the new set of platforms they have (Zeta included). So there is no point to brining back the Firebird that would compete with the Camaro when they can make the GTO for a different group

Tailights and the part in between them is a retro mustang with horizontal taillights.

Thats the sema challenger car. It is not how the production challenger will look. The tail lights are different and so are the head lights, but the grill is correct (just redone in carbon fiber) .. also the sema car has the pistol grip shifter that isnt on the production model.
Cuda aint going to happen just like the firebird isnt going to happen. Companys back in the 70s had to compete with each other (pontiac against chevy, chrysler - plymouth) even though they where part of the same parent company. Todays parent companies wont let that happen.. its twice the cost to produce 2 cars as opposed to one(even if they are modeled after each other).

I was going to say Sema Challenger too.
Don't like the back end at all. Don't want to see a Mustang when looking at the Challenger from the back. Bla...poor choice IMO. |

The interior is a bit dull... especially the door cards!

Concept coupes normally have crappy interior. That's why the vert camaro interior is fully detailed. The point is to show the outside of the car. They're still working on the interior while the exterior is being produced.

I think the problem with the SEMA Cuda and the one-off Cuda is the proportions. The decklid is too long for the "car it's trying to be". If they shorten that up a bit, I think it looks pretty good.
Even better, stretch the wheelbase a bit, change the taillights and make it the new Charger....same idea as the Camaro...modern with retro styling from the most sought after model year(s) of the car....for the Camaro and the Charger it was the same year.....1969. Great year for both cars....2010 could be a great year for both again..... I wouldn't think Plymouth is coming back, but certainly, this concept has some potential. |
