Buy it first or wait???
i was wondering if you guys are gonna jump the gun and buy one ASAP or wait to see if there are any recalls/ problems things of that sort. it might influence my thinking. Also my manager, hottest little thing ever, comes frm detroit and says that first ones isnt really a good thing. same goes for everything especially electronics. but what do you guys think.

im getting the first v8 at the dealership i work at, ($17,000 saved so far) i dont have a problem getting the first production year of a new vehicle, that is what warranty is for. i bought a 2005 equinox and it did have some issues for a first year vehicle but all of the issues were fixed under warranty and it now has 50,000 miles on it and no problems

I'm waiting to see what the biggest and baddest available V8 will be. I'll be buying in the first 2 years of availability I think.

this thread could use a poll
I will wait for a couple years before I buy one. This is partially because I want all the bugs worked out before I buy it, even though they would be covered under warranty anyway. The main reason is money. I'm still a student now and so I need to pay off my debt before I do something like buy a brand new car. I should have enough for a decent down payment in 2011, though I might be able to scratch by and get in in 2010. Depends how much I get paid and how much the car costs.

Consider where the car is being made. Quality really shouldn't be an issue! Oshawa is the Number One assembly plant!

I'm not worried so much about any bugs, or pricing that will cause me to wait as much as I just CAN'T get the one I want untill 2010/2011...
That's my last year or when I graduate college. after that, Hopefully I've already got a job lined up (thanks to a great friend!) And I can go splurge on my V8 Camaro Plus...as I think - there's more of a chance of getting a Gen V engine then, than there is now...... |

Looking to purchase 3rd quarter/4th quarter of 09, Thats when I will have my truck paid off so thats when it gets traded in for the new camaro.
First year glitches are just that glitches and they will be covered by warranty. Anything HUGE (which I doubt will happen) will be covered under the recall warranty.

well, my wish is to get my hands on one right away. im not worried about any qlitches. i mean how long have they been testeing these cars now? at least a year. and they still have all of about 8 months left, so i really doubt any serious problems will arise.
but more than likely i probably wont get one till sometime around the 4th quater of 2009. if im smart ill wait a little longer to make sure im super stable to have a brand new car. plus, at that time, it will be about a year that the camaro will be out and the performance parts should be up and running which is what i really want it for!!!!!!
