I just seen two challengers at a dealer being delivered one black that was taking off the tranporter and a orange one that i think was going somewhere else.I have to say they do look good but for $40000 i think i would have to go with a corvette since it weighs a 1000 lbs less.

One dealer near my house had 5 for sale over Father's Day weekend. all went for 58,000, they were all R/T's and 3 were auto's. So i'm thinking if the z28 (which i think is the top trim package) can hit 55k the camaro will be in good company.

It's the Mustang GM needs to price the Camaro on par with, not the Challenger. The Challenger R/T is still more expensive than the Mustang GT by about 5k. Besides, the Challenger R/T is a joke. Looks are really the only reason to buy one. A Mustang GT will run circles around the R/T due to its curb weight. Even the SRT-8 model only beats the GT by a couple of tenths.
One big reason the Camaro went away after 2002 is because it wasn't competitively priced with the Mustang; they HAVE to price the Camaro right at the Mustang's MSRP, for all models. |

You mean SRT-8s, right? The R/Ts won't be available until late this year as an '09 model.

The RT is only 3500 more than the basic GT which comes in at ~26 500. And the premium mustang is about 28 500.

Ah, right. I was basing that price difference on what I paid for mine, but I forgot I had a discount. Even so, I still think the Challenger is overpriced.

The Premium. But it will be well worth it in terms of goodies.

Just as an FYI for those still interested, I have the hook ups for ordering an 09 chally at MSRP. Just PM me. Early 09 orders are scheduled to ship in sept and on of this year.
**no I'm not a sales man, I just have connections with people who think (like me) no matter what the car, that you should always get msrp.**

I don't care about standard features. All I want is an LS3 with a 6-speed stick, brembo brakes, 20's, and leather. I graduate college in March 2009 and I hope I can get all of that for below $34 ish. Do you guys think there is any chance of that?
