Talking 4.10/3.73 Gear & Install Kit Packages, Pfadt Diff Bushings Upgrade Now Available!

Everyone already knows upgrading to Richmond 4.10 or 3.73 gears is one of the hottest upgrades available for the 5th generation Camaro. Everyone also knows that Apex Motorsports is where Camaro5 goes for Richmond Gears. But what is news to everyone is that we just made these packages even hotter!

Our original package is still the same, pick either 4.10 or 3.73 gears along with either the Richmond or Timken full installation kits and receive an instant $120 discount. But now we have added a new option. Add Pfadt Race Engineering Street or Race bushings to the package and upgrade those soft stock rear differential bushings to maximize your savings with an instant $130 discount! The best part is that there is no need to play "PM or call me" games with Apex Motorsports, simply add the items to your shopping cart and watch the savings add up.

Check out our selection here!

We currently have 13 sets of 4.10s, 7 sets of 3.73s, and a freaking wall full of Richmond and Timken full install kits IN STOCK and ready to ship.

Attention V6 M6 owners: THESE WORK FOR YOU TOO!!!

This is a chart originally posted by Camaro5 member DNA that demonstrates the increase in rear wheel torque that is realized by a performance gear upgrade. By upgrading the factory 3.27s in the stock A6 equipped Camaro SS to the Richmond 3.73s you will realize an equivalent gain of approximately 15% or 61.5 rear wheel lb.-ft. of torque. By upgrading the factory 3.45s in a stock M6 equipped Camaro SS to Richmond 4.10s you will realize an equivalent gain of approximately 20% or 84 rear wheel lb.-ft. of torque.

Below is a video demonstrating the dramatic improvement the Pfadt Rear Differential Bushings upgrade will make in your Camaro. Reducing bushing deflection means getting the power to the pavement where it belongs and getting off the line first.

PMs replied to. These gears are a hot item but we have no problem keeping them in stock, we keep a full inventory not 2 or 3 sets like other places. Orders received before 4PM EST will ship the same day.

So does changing gears benefit you more if you drag race, auto cross, or do some spirited mountain driving?

All of the above. The major benefit of the gears is much faster acceleration which is great for pretty much any type of performance driving.

Are 3.73's better for quart mile racing?

Depends on what you are running. If your car is an automatic them 3.73s are what you want due to the more aggressive gearing in that transmission. If you have the manual transmission and your car is only lightly modified then the 4.10s will give you the best results. If you have a manual and are putting 550-600+rwhp down you may want to go 3.73 due to potential traction issues.

You missed the last pick up from UPS for the day, but the gears and install kit will be on the way tomorrow. We have about 12 on the shelf and plenty of master install kits.

Hey Chase, I'm wondering about the 4.33's you have listed on your site. Do you have them in stock? Will the install kits you sell work with them? Lastly, are 4.33's too much for a fairly stock naturally aspirated car that will eventually have heads/cam?

We do have them available as of when I typed this and the Richmond install kit is the correct one for all three available ratios. The 4.33 ratio is, in my opinion, designed for exactly the type of set up you are talking about.
