Pricing, and Dealer Mark up

I really want a 1LE Camaro, though I dont want to pay Adjusted Market Value. A friend of mine told me I could go through USAA or Navy Fed for MSRP pricing. I am looking at a 1SS w/ 1LE yellow or black...
Anyone else concerned with ADM (Adjusted Dealer Markup).

Hang back a month or two and see how they sell and that mark up my go south. Told my dealer that I saw them at the Fest, he wasn't real impressed by the whole package. Didn't outright say it but, said why not wait for the Z/28?

If your military, check GM's website. You should be able to buy from GM at a military price and have it delivered to a dealer of your choice. Because your going around the dealer, they can't mark it up.

How to hug your camaro
Buy the car that you would most like to get beat in. The other guy will always be faster.

Considering the 1LE is an option and not a standalone model like the ZL1, how could the dealer mark it up if you're ordering it and not buying one off the lot?

Easy. The dealer just says "since these are hard to get, we are adding $xxxx to the price of any 1LE coming through our dealership's allocation".

The fact that it is an option pkg has absolutely no meaning. Dealerships are free to charge whatever they want. If the dealer decided to charge more for red camaros, there is nothing stopping them from adding a "market adjustment" fee to any red Camaro on their lot.

Yes it's just an option on a 4 year old body design. I can't see any markup...unless

Hey anyone know how long the 1LE option will be offered? I have to wait until Aug 2013 or Sept 2013 to order mine.

It has been the idea from the beginning that 1LEs will mostly be directly ordered instead of coming from dealers stock. If a dealer tries to take advantage of 1LE availability, good luck to them. They will have pricey Camaros in stock drawing hood wrap and single sized tire hate.

There may not be many willing to buck up $3,500 just to have a low key cool Camaro. Hopefully those that do will later understand what they have bought and get interested in tracking. The more the merrier.

I hope that is not the case....

Some of us, such as myself, have to wait until next spring to purchase one. I hope dealers don't try and make these to be some rare model. The whole idea of a 1LE is to be an affordable track car.

Anyone try talking to Becky at Rogers Chevrolet? She's a member here and would probably get you one at MSRP
