FI Sound :D

What do you all prefer. The Supercharger whine or the Turbos sound?

It depends on the supercharger and how it's configured. Some are louder than others, same as a turbo's BOV.

My exhaust is way too loud to hear the supercharger while inside the car. You can however hear the BOV.

Supercharger would be easier to install. There a several people that have done the IPF system in their garage in a day or two. And one or two who have done the RX system. I personally did not install mine. Turbo, especially the mid mount twin turbo would be more difficult. Depends how good you are with a wrench and how confident you feel about doing it.

Oh by the way, I see you're in Houston. What part? You can see my system if you'd like. I'm in Kemah (South East side).

Mine sounds like a jet engine at around 2000 rpm. People turn to look at the car when I drive by. Personally, I think the blow-off valve sounds a bit odd though, since it isn't really blowing off, per se. It is recirculating the air back into the intake tube, pre-compressor.

The IPF set up recirculates yes. The RX system is actually a blow off set up, since the MAF is past the valve. Where as the IPF set up's MAF sensor is pre charge and thus air is measured before the blow off valve.
