Low oil pressure

My oil pressure reads well below the 30 PSI mark when at idle. I hope its just an inaccurate gauge. All the small block Chevys I have owned always had over 30 PSI at idle. Should I be concerned?

No I would not be concerned. I have a 2SS also and my pressure is @ 30psi at Ilde. This is when the oil temp is around 180-200 degrees.

Normal, the oil pressure minimums when hot for the LS3 and L99 are as follows:
6 psig at 1,000 engine RPM

18 psig at 2,000 engine RPM

24 psig at 4,000 engine RPM
