But the Challenger has to be very worried when the Camaro and updated Mustang come to the market siginificantly cheaper and faster than the Challenger. Chrysler is tied long term to the heavy sedan chassis they built the Challenger off of. It will finish a distant 3rd in every category to the Camaro and 'stang.
They beat them. This first run is only april to september. In september the SXT and R/T start rolling off the line, so at minimum the entire model lineup beats the camaro by 4 months (assuming jan release of the camaro).

Regardless, all 3 contenders for the market have good products and appeal in different ways.

Mustang - middle of the road with retro ques and a modernish interior
Challenger - full retro exterior with a complete updated modern interior (yes its parts bin, but it is current with todays market)
Camaro - modernish retro exterior with a very retro interior.

There is something for all degrees of muscle car fans, and to me thats what will keep this market strong.

Edit: Also Chrysler isnt tied to this chassis, they are actually in development for the new LY chassis that will go under the 300/charger/challenger

That's kinda sad that an SRT8 can just barely outrun a Mustang GT, but for 10k more.....very sad, indeed.
Frankly, The Camaro should have an easy time of tearing both of them up...for a Mustang price.
