**1LT XM Accessory Appearance Package Ordering Information**
Availability of 2011 Camaro 1LT XM/Accessory Appearance Package
Back in November, information was shared with you regarding two future production models that were being shown at this past year’s SEMA show. > Camaro Synergy Series 2011 Info/Photos and Brochure (PDF) > Camaro XM Accessory Appearance Package Info/Photos and Brochure (PDF) Starting next week (Thursday, February 17, 2011), dealers will be able to submit orders for one of those models -- the 2011 Camaro 1LT XM/Accessory Appearance Package (option code: ABN). This package was designed using a combination of new accessory parts and factory installed options for customers seeking a different looking Camaro at an affordable price. The 2011 Camaro 1LT XM/Accessory Appearance Package includes: • Factory-installed rear lip spoiler (previously available only with RS Exterior Appearance Package) • Dealer-installed 21” Polished Aluminum Wheels (a future Camaro LPO Accessory) • Dealer-installed Body Colored Front Grille Insert (a current Camaro LPO Accessory) • Dealer-installed new Silver Side Body Stripe (a future Camaro LPO Accessory) • Dealer-installed Premium Carpeted Floor Mats (a current Camaro LPO Accessory) • 12 Month Trial Subscription to XM As the title of this package indicates, this new package is available only with the Camaro 1LT (model code: 1EF37), and is limited to the following exterior colors: • Imperial Blue Metallic (RPO: GAP) • Black (RPO: GBA) • Cyber Gray Metallic (RPO: GBV) As mentioned above, ordering for the new 2011 Camaro 1LT XM/Accessory Appearance Package starts Thursday, February 17, 2011. This package does not require any special coupe allocation and will be available for order submission for the remainder of the 2011 model run. The package’s MSRP is $5765. When combined with the Camaro 1LT and the standard six speed manual transmission, the MSRP of the model and package is $30,495 (including DFC, excluding tax, titles and other fees). |

why put such an expensive package on a 1LT? just wondering??? if you're going to spend that kind of money, why not allow leather seating surfaces too? This is a very confusing move. I don't know what market they're going after here... Are the wheels most of the cost of the package?
The appearance package sounds fun, but it should be offered on higher end models in my opinion.

You're going to start to notice that more people will by the V6 over the 8 as time goes on. So to support that market I'm guessing GM is going to do some things like this to boost sales. |

I TOTALLY understand it's a move to try to ramp up V6 sales, but, the cost of the package seems high for the next-to-base model Camaro. They should at least offer it with the 2LT. I mean you could easily buy all the accessories in the after market, but I don't know why they can't be installed from the factory and installed to the rigorous factory quality specifications on the 2LT too.

That's actually a great price considering that the retail price of the wheels is off the charts.

Well, I think these may be new wheels that aren't yet for sale, according to the OP. That's why I asked if most of the cost came from the wheels.

I wish you could get those packages, or parts of those packages, without the wheels. They look to big and clunky for my taste.

If they offered it on the 2LT it would be more than the 1SS and most people would then just buy the 1SS.

If IBM really looked like the blue in the picture I would be tempted.
