My Inferno X [COTW 7/18/11]

So, if this is to tell a story then this is how mine began. I use to have a Cadillac CTS-V. Last year on my birthday I got in an accident and it was lost. Man I loved this car!

Then I started shopping around for another car, I really wanted another V. Until I found this. I had to have it. A 2011, 2SS LS3, M6 with RS package, IOM stripes and interior, sunroof, ultrasonic parking assist, GFX kit, on midnight silver 20s. SOLD!

G5CR stage 2 intake from MMR(Modular Mustang)

The result was 402RWHP

Then something strange happened to me. I wanted to do a cam, I saw the CMS was having a special and I talked back and forth with Ryan about it. The only thing was I live in L.A. and he is located south in Temecula, and I didn't want to have to drive all the way down there to drop it off and pick it up. So I had heard of Haddad Motorsports which turns out is just up the 405 from me.
Then I go for a ride in his G8 in pouring rain and I realize either he is nuts or cool as hell. Well he is cool as hell and his guys there are awesome. So he talks me into doing bushings and brakes for the car because I want to track and autoX the car.
So he installs
Chassis
Pfadt motor mounts
Pedders sub frame bushings
Pedders rear diff bushings
Pedders front radius arm bushings
Pedders caster kit front and rear
Brakes
DBA 5000 rotors up front
DBA 4000 rotors out back
Hawk HPS pads all around

Well I needed some tunes and bumps. So I installed some sounds
Audio
Boston Pro components front
Pioneer 6x9s rear
Pioneer Premier 12" sub
Soundstream 1000w digital amp for sub
Soundstream 4ch for speakers
SubThump box
SubThump amp rack
1 Farad capacitor
and a lot of Fat Mat

So at C5F2 I got to do the Pfadt HPDE, and do the auto X which was a blast. I also purchased a set of

AAC painted black and tinted LED side markers

So that all held me over for a couple of months. After C5F2 and seeing all the force induction cars I needed more. So back to Haddad's shop to talk again about doing a cam. Well I walked in thinking I was gonna do a cam, port the heads, lifters, springs, ect. Was gonna go all out NA style. WRONG!!!!! I ended up leaving ordering

And why they had the fuel tank out and rear sub frame out I had them throw on

GFX exhaust bezels

and a Flat black fuel door

Haddad had the car for almost a week. This is how it started. Baseline Dyno was 402RWHP

All done. Time to tune on a dyno

Result was 604RWHP, 525RWTQ with the Flowmasters. So we took the Mufflers off and the power jumped to 619RWHP, and 576RWTQ. Dyno numbers and more pics on this build thread.

So the Flowmasters were holding the car back. So off with them and a set of Magnaflows went on.


The BMR strut tower brace also had to go, it now belongs to cterry.

So I used some of the products I got from Adams @ C5F2. Full detail.

Well I saw these rims in the local marketplace and had to have them. Got the rims and ordered some tires. Their Lexani LX-10s 22x9 and 22x10.5 rims on Nexen N3000 265/30R22 fronts and 295/25R22 rear. I figured I'll use my Forgelines for days at the tracks, and these for car shows and cruises. After all my SS is not my daily driver.

love your numbers. and also have to say. you must have saved alot of money to do this or you make a large amount of money or the one everybody does. put your self in debt to enjoy the car.

so what other mods did you do to your car to get over 600whp?

No credit cards on this one. Lol. As long as everyone keeps buying gasoline I'll be ok. The power comes from Whipple, headers, exhaust, intake, and Mike Haddad's experience.

i am missing the headers and umm not sure what kind of intake you mean. but my supercharger has there intake unless you mean minifold and i am missing haddads experience. i am broke and froze all work on my car.

It's a air intake and filter. Hope thing turn around for you and you can get back to the car mods.
