Does anyone else think that the price of the used SS will drop, as well as have many more used SS in the market once the ZL! arrives? \

Or is this just wishful thinking to trade my V6 in for an SS that I can afford around then?

wishful thinking....the ss and zl1 are and will be in two diff.classes.....

I kinda thought the same thing... but then wondered how many SS owners would upgrade to the ZL1.

I dont think there is any chance of a price drop on the SS when the ZL1 comes out. The SS price is based on the production costs of that model, so again i dont see it changing. Would be nice if it did though

Used SS may drop, but if you're going brand new I doubt they will drop in price.

Deff plan on going used so thats kinda where I am figuring this. Prices sropping due to more used SS on the market from those who upgraded.

I don't forsee that many SS owners trading up. The price difference is gonna be too big. Thats like asking if the vette prices went down when the Z06 came out. Totally different market.

The 2010's WILL be a year older at that point so you can save if you go that route

The price for a new SS won't drop, that's for sure. The used SS price will probably continue to drop as more are on the market, but I don't think they will be affected by the introduction of the ZL1. Its production numbers will be only a small fraction of those of the SS.

limited production? Is that cause of cost or what i don't see how it will be. Unless not meny buy it cause of the price point so how you figure

Uh are you referring to the SLP ZL1?

I don't think GM has said anything about their ZL1 being limited production

One friend of mine just passed an order for the ZL1 and he was told it will be limited to 500 cars only. Only 3 of them will be delivered in the Province of Quebec. And I'm not talking about SLP limitations here...

So we shall see when furthur infos will come out.
