Camaro ad in Car & Driver

Smartly done. "304HP V6 and 29MPG" is the prominent tag. There's a long text section with a detailed account of the gestation of the car, including the names of the designers. If you squint you can find mention of the SS V8. In today's GM-screwed-up climate, thank God they got 29MPG out of that 6. I hope they promote the car as if the 8 didn't even exist. "V8 power with econo-car mileage! The future of responsible sports cars!" Hmmm, that's pretty good. I'll take a 2LT for my sevices, thanks.

Sounds like the right approach to me for the current economical climate. I'm glad they are not pushing the SS. Feel free to scan and post the ad if you can.

I don't think they will need to push the SS.. It will sell just because people will ask about it when they come to the Showroom... I wouldn;t be surprised if we never see a direct ad just for the SS...

I'm technically illiterate, but I do have a scanner. How do I do it?

They SERIOUSLY need to pimp the "29mpg" angle. It's the only way this car will sell in the numbers it would take to positively affect the company's bottom line.

It's what cinched the V6 version for me over the V8.

^ What he said. If that doesn't work, make sure you have selected "scan" on the fax and press "start". The scan software should automatically start up and you image will be there. At that point, select "save as" and make sure the extension is JPG.

I didn't like the ad,i passed over it 3 or 4 times before i even noticed it. It needs more Red,White, and Blue 4th of Julyness to it..... C'mon,GM the Camaro is awesome, let's celebrate it alittle more than this snoozefest!

But they should wait till cars are in the lot. It's not a make to order company.

So this is the current issue? It looks like I'm going to have to run to Walmart at lunch

Thanks for the post.... now I don't have to spent 7 bucks on the mag

I like the approach they're taking. An enthusiast doesn't need the ads to be aware of the SS.
