So call me crazy but if ur a friend of mine on fb u know how often I get jerks driving like aholes around me when I had my v6. Ive had my SS since friday and have yet to hsve one person b a jerk. Every single time I drove my v6 it was like men wld get their egos hurt and speed up, cut me off, try to race, etc. Now they just let me by. Several commented thats it might b the license plate holder that says "u just got smoked by a girl" but its on the SS too....hmmm weird.....

white car versus dark color. Most people don't seem to associate white as an aggressive color. I don't think your average joe can tell the difference between an SS and LT unless they see the badges from up close. People still try to race me every once in awhile, but only on highways for some reason.

I actually find the opposite to be true... well kind of.

I have a V6 but when I'm in my Camaro people are actually more courteous on the road, letting me merge first, not cutting me off, etc.

However, when I'm driving my girlfriend's sedan (2011 Sonata), people often jump in front of me, cut me off, tailgate, etc.

I drive pretty passively most of the time, liking to cruise rather than go all fast and the furious, but the difference is interesting to me. Haha, maybe they're all scared of the Camaro?

Interesting theory...nvr really thought of it. Im just glad I dont have to fight on the roadways all the time now..I guess as the mods come I might get more of t. My v6 looked mean w the headlights all blacked out. My SS looks stock on the outside right now but after this weekend, no more

My bf's charger is insane to drive. Everyone seems to b s jerk to that car too. Weird...

Maybe its you? I typically get respect on the road but I try to give respect too. And as far as the average other motorist knowing SS vs LT/LS, the most common question I get is "is that an SS" but more often than that I just get "nice Camaro" or "I love that color". Did you drive your V6 more aggressively which might have insighted other drivers?

I actually get stupid ricers trying to race me in my SS... I don't fall for it- not worth the racing ticket

This... because I've never had an issue like the ones described by the OP with my V6. People around here just love my Camaro period...

90% of the population can't tell between V6 and V8 at a glance on the road anyway...

Do what I do when I pull up next to a Ricer. Turn to look at them, point and start laughing (with the windows down).

angie7, it also might be that they knew you in your Cyber Grey one, but in the Summit White one they don't know it's "Angie" yet. That being said, once they realize and get used to it, it may become like driving the other one.

Also, I didn't know your boyfriend had a Charger, I thought it was a Challenger for some reason.

I have had my car for three weeks and I get someone wanting to race about once or twice a week. I drive black with white stripes. Don't know if color does it or not, but I drive pretty mild.
