$7500 for what exactly? Sounds like greed to me. It's your money.

Lol @ Mac.
A lot have got their orders at MSRP. I have heard +5k all the way to +20k. I went +5k, but their are others in this area that got it for MSRP. I would think your area would have some differences that would not exactly be apples to apples IMHO. BTW Congrats!

I don't recall GM ever saying production was limited. It will be a short model run with the early 2012 calendar year SORP, but I hadn't heard if there was a number or limit discussed.
Some dealers want the short term $$ others will sell at suggested retail and try to cultivate future business. OP, Me? I wouldn't pay a premium over sticker. But if you want the car that bad go for it. Just keep in mind that by the time you want to sell it (if you ever do) your price will be competing against owners that didn't pay a mark up. So you will never see that money again.

Make a few more phone calls you will find it for MSRP. I called 4 dealers around me 1 wanted 5k over and 5k down non-refundable. 1 I was telling more info to than they knew another never called back and the one that im buying the car from agreed to msrp.

you should get every factory and dealer option, lifetime dealer service and maintenance, and extended warranty, free candy bars and peanuts while you wait for service for that markup...basically you should be VIP #1 for that markup
