I don't think we're going to be able to have a detailer come to the hotels this year...but having one at the track might be possible - not to mention a better idea, IMO (no driving to get to the event after the car's just been washed).

If anybody in the area is interested, let us know.

In the meantime, we'll keep working on it!

Coming from NM in a black Camaro, I might be interested in an on site detail. I do have a touchless carwash that I used when I still lived there that is not too far out of the way if needed. But of course hand detail would be best!

I just wanted to know how to load up my detaling bag more for my tow pig than my Camaro that is bound to get a little dirty on the Drag strip but that is to be exspected! But my tow rig is black so you know that's getting dirty no matter what I do!

I just want a place I can do my own wash & detail. No automatic car wash, touchless or not & nobody else washing/detailing my baby!

Nothing wrong with that. An idea would be to bring some waterless wash. You can spray it on and wipe it off (as long as your car isnt to dirty). Waterless wash is great, big time saver when your vehicle is mildly dirty/dusty.

Last year they had a mobile wash company show up. They had full detail service and wash going on. We drove in, pulled up and got in line. We had pre-paid by paypal and when we got to the fest it was great. No hassels! We actually got our chairs out and watched as about 8 guys jumped on each car and cleaned each wheel, washed, dried, and vacuumed the cars! VERY profesional and was reasonable, and took the stress off of hurrying and doing it and made the mrs's much happier!

The mid-Atlantic group will be coming through bug heaven...A wash point at the track would be great!

I will wash my car at the hotel. If they don't supply hoses, I'm told they will. I will bring a nylon roll up hose I bought this purpose.

Weird, huh, first time I ever quoted myself, but................the more I think about this, maybe we could do an old fashioned fundraiser car wash for charity (maybe wounded warriors or any good charity). We kill 2 birds with one stone. Think about it..........our cars get cleaned, safely, by us who love our cars. Money goes to charity. Girls in Daisy dukes & bikinis, shirtless guys with sixpacks, sudsy water & water hoses on a hot summer day. I don't see a down side. It sure was fun when we were in High School. Why not now? Thoughts?
