If you could choose...
Hey yo,
I am one of those guys that just can't stay focused on one car. Always looking for the next thing. However, with my Camaro I have finally settled in and will actually pay-off/own a sports car (not daily driver) outright for once. This of course has me fired up, because I will be able to go after something even bigger for my next car. I am looking for something at the higher end of the spectrum, borderline exotic. It will probably be something a few years old/slightly used just because I like a lot of the models in the target, and the new models are a bit out of the price range. So, I figured we could have a fun discussion comparing Top Gear-style some of the more elite cars and brands. What would you choose if you could have any car under the following criteria: - Model year 2007 to 2011 - Price range between $70,000 and $80,000 - Coupe - Serious sport setup - Weekend/Race car use Have at it

The Viper is a big bang for your buck in terms of brute power and sex appeal. You could also look to something like a GTR or 911 Turbo for something a little more plush and balanced.

Can't say I'm sold on a GTR. For some reason, it just doesn't do it for me. I do love some Porsche though. I have seen a few GT3s in my area near the price level I am targeting. I am actually starting to fall more in love with Aston's lately. Some of the Vantage series in those years might fall in my range.

They are dead sexy but they are more along the lines of a BMW M6.
I am with you there, but there is no denying that it is a beast if performance is what you are looking for. |

Yea, we're on the same page there. What Aston do you like the most?
See, that was my original thought. A C6 Z06 will be a steal now that the C7's are coming out. If I could find a Z06 with the Z07 package that would be the bomb. However, I should be able to get a Z06 for like low $50s. I feel like, if I can get a little more car for my money, shouldn't I? That is how Viper got in the conversation as well. Of course, I could just go with a Z-Oh! and put some money into with mods. Lots to think about! Truth and Truth!

DB9, of course But you could get a pretty good V8 Vantage in that price range, and I like those too!

If I could pick up any car right now, it would be a Viper, any Generation, any year, any style. They have the looks and the performance, and have that "exotic" appeal.
