2012 Camaro Exterior Color Buildcounts.....

Black GBA 22,863

Victory Red GCN 11,453

Summit White GAZ 10,563

Silver Ice Metallic GAN 9,833

Rally Yellow GCO 8,296

Carbon Flash Metallic (45th Anniv) GAR 8,283

Inferno Orange Metallic GCR 5,914

Imperial Blue Metallic GAP 5,403

Ashen Gray Metallic GLJ 5,095

Crystal Red Tintcoat GBE 2,606

Cyber Gray Metallic GBV 1

....yes- one Cyber Gray Metallic 2LS -- a 'non-saleable' Camaro that resides at the GM Proving Grounds in Milford.

(...and now you know why we've referred to Black, Bright Red and White as "the hallowed three" for many, many years.....they always tend to be the top three colors......)

Thanks Scott (The man-in-the-know)! Thought there would be more Crystal Red Tintcoat than that.
Foresee any new colors on the horizon???

Why did they make only one CGM 2LS and not sell it?

Cyber Gray was discontinued and Ashen Gray replaced it.....this particular
2LS was built very early in 2011 prior to Cyber Gray being discontinued-- it is a 'non-saleable' validation vehicle and is used for testing.....

I'm surprised there are so many SIM's, I always had heard gray didn't bring as much. There's a 2SS on a lot that's been sitting around in good shape for only 24,4 right now, and the other 2SS' everywhere else of other colors are 26-28 in the same condition.

I am so glad I waited for Ashen Gray Metallic. Ordered it the first day it was available, only had your description and a few pics of the 'Vert AGM ZL1 to go on.....Thank you Scott!

I ended up with #54 in Ashen Gray, woohoo!

Indeed. would be nice to see this kind of info posted somewhere.

Like a year by year numbers breakdown and buildout data sheet similar to what's available for Firebird/Trans-Am owners:

Im one of 2600, even less that were SS's. CRT was only available for a couple months. Is it possible that the colors would be broken out at the least by engine eventually?

Thanks Scott!!

Very interesting. I would of thought that IBM would of been dead last.

A local dealer had a CRT SS and it was amazing looking. Seriously one of GMs best colors in decades.

I don't know if I'm glad to own the most popular color or bummed that it's the most common color. It's a stone cold bitch to keep clean but sure looks awesome when it is.

If Kinetic Blue becomes available on all trims that may change.
