They pulled into an office complex to turn around, I decided to follow, and in the process got the horn/middle finger combo from the guy behind me. I had to talk my way past the security guard to get in, but it seemed to work. The drivers allowed me to take pictures as long as I didn’t take any of the interior. They also would not talk about the motor, but said I will not be disappointed.

The car has a very aggressive look to it, and it was rolling on 20 inch rollers.(275 rear 245 front) The brakes looked a dwarfed behind the wheels. I don’t know if that was because of a smaller wheel on the v6 or if big brakes are an upgrade.

My memory card got full when taking the front nose pic. It had the z06 scoop on the hood. Use your imagination on this one.

The engineers told me they had shipped the car down here from Detroit to test it out in the humid weather we have here. The passenger had a laptop with some type of monitoring software.

I wanted to talk to them more about the car, but the security guard was yelling at me for blocking traffic. He seemed pretty upset for a guy making $9 an hour.

The car sounded good as they throttled it out of the parking lot!

Sweet!! I really do like those stock wheels!!! I wonder what the heck that trailer hitch on the back is REALLY for?!?

This guy DEFINITELY needs an award for some KICKASS spy shots and taking a few cuss words and middle fingers for the Camaro team!

Yes, for hauling a$$. Actually, I heard from someone that its for some sort of test equipment.

Anyhoo, now for my thoughts. Wow, I would have done the exact same thing as that guy. Important points:

See the gas cap?
Standard line about the engine "won't be disapointed" (I think everyone working on the Camaro had to repeat that 100 times before being allowed in public)
Looks damm nice
Still have something up their sleeve regarding the interior.

Holey moley! I can't believe we're seeing hi-res shots this up-close so soon

As far as the trailer hitch goes, it might need to tote around some testing equipment. On another forum I frequent, we have a few members from Australia who've indicated that trailer hitches on their passenger cars are more common than here (one of them had a Holden Commodore SS with a trailer hitch) so it could be a hold over from that, since the cars were engineered there.

I hope though that those taillamps are placeholders like the headlamps are. I love love LOVED the taillamps on the concept with the round brake light/signal light set inside the lens. I hope the production model gets the concept-style taillamps.

The way the trunk dips in the middle reminds me a lot of the Corvett from the rear. Very cool!

something else I was thinking about was the australian thing. esp since the gas cap is on the right side of the vehicle instead of the left.
