Awww..shlitz!..scratches?

50 miles on it, garaged and car covered, wife tells me scratches on the door below the cover..wth? Come to find out, my son parked his big wheel beside and scratched it with his gray plastic handle bars....ouch.

Grab the scratch remover...rubadubdub..not so obvious now..:(

..seems no matter how hard you try and keep things from happening..oh well, @ least the SIM color seems to hide scratches better...

That's the second reason why I ordered SIM, aside from it being the best color option for the Camaro BY FAR. I would suggest getting some rubber spray and coating every moving object your son plays with.

Look at it this way - you were bound to get a scratch on the car. Your son saved you a bunch of worry about the first one by getting it out of the way for you. Thank your little boy and enjoy your car!

Just think, when your Boy is all grown up and out of the house, one day you'll notice that scratch again and remember when he did it...you'll cry wishing you're Boy was still little and at home with you playing on his big wheel. Gives the car character.

If it makes you feel any better my son dinged my door on the garage support post. He nearly cried. I gotta get with the PDR folks and see if they can take care of it. It's right on the crease so I dunno...

As long as it didn't go thru the color coat, get you some Meguires Mirror Glaze and it will make it new.

but it is a true transformer...it blends with the road and parking garage structures!

Just kidding. SIM is my second choice for a Camaro. I decided against it after seeing that it looks too plain in person. No offense.

About the scratch...sounds like it didn't get to the paint. That is easy to fix. Use a DA polisher, white pad, and swirl and scratch remover, and a couple of minutes and it should buff off. Try the orange pad if the white pad doesn't cut it.

Very well put! My 7 year old son has his head on my shoulder sleeping. Now i'm all emotional. But your right, my brother has a Chevy Scottsdale 4x4 ordered brand new in 1991. His son was born in 95 brought him home in it, truck is Bahama Blue only 53,000 miles with son's fingerprints in top corner of window where he would sit in his car seat. Truck is still beautiful and spotless but he will not clean the fingerprints off the window. Priceless.
