One of the Best Moments of Owning a Camaro.....
First off I have a pretty modified Camaro and one of a kind that is gonna stick out and attract attention, but today I was pulling into a glass shop to replace my driver side window. Their was a young kid who had his face plastered against the store front door glass looking at the car with a huge smile on his face. His mom approaches me saying her son who's big smile can lite up a room is in loooove with Camaros and was wondering if he could take some pictures with it. She proceeded to tell me what he was just diagnosed at 9 years old with Diabetes and requires 4 shots a day in his stomach. Man, their was no way I was gonna let this kid just take pictures. I gave him a full tour of the car with all the mods showed him how it all worked let him play with the RGB controller, lambo doors, etc and let him sit behind the wheel. I told his mom when I go to car shows to bring him out, so he can leave behind the diabetes for a few hours and enjoy his passion of cars.
Its been a loooong week for me, but this kid brighten it up for me. One of the best moments of being a Camaro owner! |

That's very cool of you to do, heck I would have asked if her and the son would like to go for a short ride!

Wow, what a great story. I was diagnosed a year ago, quite the change in lifestyle. Can't imagine going thru this at 9 and the hassle of insulin injections in the worse place. You are a great guy buddy....hope you see him at the next show!
