anybody running the night fury or kaotik cam?
I came across these two cams while looking through vids on youtube. Anyone on here running either one and can give some reviews on them. I really am leaning toward the kaotik cam, but id also like a good performing cam for when I purchase my 5th gen early next yr. I am just trying to get together a parts list for after i buy the car. Thanks guys

I have the Night Fury. Like Avido said, it does buck at lower RPM if you have a manual trans. Once you hit 3500-4000 rpm it pulls like a freight train. I'm very pleased with my cam. For a car with Headers, ported throttle body, CAI, and a Night Fury cam they average about 480rwhp. Some get more and some get a little less.
I don't know anyone with a Kaotic cam so I can't help you there. I've heard good things about it, but that's all I know.

I have a Night Fury cam. It's a good cam, sounds good, drives good and played well with my magnuson and the F1C I have now. Iv got very little issue with bucking, I can drive through a parking lot with out issue. Don't limit yourself to these off the shelf cams either, custom grinds tailored to exactly what your wanting is a great option. Also if your buying an auto, definitely look into the VVT cams before jumping into a ls3 conversion.

I had the Kaotic cam in my 2010 and I had no bucking or surging at all. The cam made good power and was friendly enough to use as my daily driver. I made 550hp/540tq at the wheels. Mind you that wasn't on stock cubes. It would have made a solid 485 with the 376.

im definitely going manual hopefully a 13 or 14 ss hopefully 1le but we will see. Im definitely going to look into a custom grind because I might send the heads out to be done as well with getting a cam. I just want a strong running fun daily driver that vibrates the ground

The BTR Stage 4 is also a great option and it makes 480 WHP and 460 WTQ on average. I run this camshaft in my Camaro currently and it has good drivability. I'll get a video up shortly and please feel free to call, email or PM me anytime with questions.

What is the lift/duration limitations as far as piston to valve clearance is concerned on a stock setup?
