Stay with the factory one. I just put a Hurst 391-6030 in and cannot stand it. I think the factory shifter is way more precise. I am putting the stock one back in once I get the car back to the shop in January.

Go with MGW and just reuse the stock shift knob.

I purchased my mgw shifter a couple months back, it hasn't been installed yet. I went with the TWM shifter knob. I read great things about this shifter knob, mostly from the corvette forums, its almost 1 pound to mostly half that with other shifter knobs. It's supposedly a great feel to it. I think it looks awesome also and hope it feels as good as it looks.
