Cant Decide Please Help!!! What CAI?

Ok so after listening to all the exhaust systems over and over again and reading almost all the threads dealing with them I have made my decision and I’m getting a MRT 2.0 Axle Back Exhaust...but the main question is what should I get for my Cold Air Intake? I either want to get a Cold Air Inductions CAI or an Airaid CAI...with the specials the have right now there’s almost a $100 difference...I know its personal choice but I really want to know what would yall do in this situation? O...and if I happen to run out of money which one of these two things (exhaust or CAI) should I get first?

Thanks for your help

By all means get the Exhaust !!.....
You will get rid of those ugly mufflers, have a sound that you want plus a small performance gain...

I changed my exhaust first because to me the car didnt sound like it should and the stock tips look weak coming out of the diffuser. Then I went with the Airaid intake and have no complaints!

I have MRT version 1.0 and just got Airaid installed, I love it! I highly suggest Airaid for an intake, especially with the specials out right now.

Definitely exhaust first, if one has to do it that way. Not just sound and power, but weight savings too!

Which CAI? Can't help there as I'm in that same boat as well!

So the Exhaust makes more power on the 3.6 than the CAI?

This one does not look any better and it's chrome which means less performance.

I don't work for them and I too used their parts on my Mistakes. All 5 of them. They will be going in my Camaro too. I'll take their "junk" over someone else's high priced name anyday. They have the performance numbers to back it up, can't beat the price and quality control has never been an issue on any of my parts. Sorry you had a bad experiance, but I'd bet you are the rare exception rather than the rule.

I have the SLP loudmouth axle back and went with Morano's cold air kit. Can have it powdercoated the color of your choice and very easy installation. So far so good with no SES lights and looks decent to. I myself just didnt want the big box that keeps the filter isolated. Yeah I may be losing a little bit of power, but I just like the engine bay to be as open as it can be.
