Visibility

Hey all, I've been looking at camaro5 for a few months now but I've waited till now to actually join. I went to the New York Auto Show yesterday and I sat in a 2lt rs packaged camaro with a sunroof. I'm 6 ft tall and was surprised at how much trouble I was having seeing over the hood. I adjusted the height of the seat and still had a hard time. Is it normal? or a cause for concern?. I am interested in buying a camaro this summer so I just wanted some input from actual camaro owners. Thanks in advance guys and girls.

I'm 6' 2" and its no problem. You probably needed to adjust your seat height.

I adjusted it and still had trouble. I drive a mazda 3 and can see over the hood. Maybe I'm not used to it.

ye i was thinking the sunroof also decreased the headroom by a bit. Of course the chevy rep there had no idea

The non-sunroof models have more head room and I think a nicer roof line than those with the sunroof. Compare:

It's part of what makes the Camaro cool from the outside. And it reminds you what you're driving from the inside. You get used to it extremely quickly.

I'm 6'1 and have a sunroof. I never have a problem in that department. As for visibility it gets better as you get to know the car.

I'm still careful with the "point" on the front end. Still mastering that aspect.

I am 6'2 and have a sun roof. Dont have any issues with head room. Like mentioned above you have to set the seat to its lowest setting.

It took me a while to get use to backing out of parking spots as there are definitely some blind spots and when you first get the car the last thing you want to do is back into something. After a few weeks it isnt an issue any more.

You get used to the profile of the car. The Camaro is shaped more like a classic muscle car. We've all been able to drive the Camaro without incident.

I'm 5'9" and have no problems...and I don't raise the seat. You get use to it. You also can feel where the tires are, so that helps to have awareness of where the body is.
