I was offered an allocation!

I was offered an allocation today after someone backed out. I'm not sure I will take it, though I'm sorely tempted. My only reservation is my SS is nearly paid off. I'm not sure I am willing to undergo 4 more years of payments. I can pretty easily afford it, fortunately. But, is the ZL1 too exotic for a daily driver?
Would appreciate your thoughts. Thanks

I have 574 RWHP which is more HP than the ZL1 and would drive that as a daily driver no problem. ZL1 daily driver is a no brainer!

Yeah I agree. It's not an Aston Martin. Or even a 911 and plenty of those are DDs.

BUY IT!!!...... Just Saying . The ZL1 has the exotic look but it is meant for daily drivers. That is my personal opinion. It all depends on you and if you wouldn't mind putting the miles on it.

This car was designed to be a DD if need be. My 06 Vette is putting down 540rwhp and can be driven daily and still gets 28mpg highway.

I should have known to look elsewhere for advice on not buying it!
I only commute 6 miles a day, so I'm not worried about mileage or even fuel prices.
So I guess I"m gonna do it. A red manual with the carbon fiber hood and suede steering wheel, if possible. I'll let you know real soon.

What dealer? Are you getting it at MSRP?

Well, in for a penny (SS), in for a pound (ZL1), I always say!

I was able to order red, manual, carbon fiber, and suede. Now the waiting begins.

Thanks to Matt Gray at Thornton Chevrolet in Lithia Springs, GA, for arranging this deal for me. I'm assuming it's buy-two-get-one-free?

Thanks, everyone, for your less-than-balanced advice.

I'll post photos when it arrives.
