Fuse pull for 15' 1LE
Buddy of mine had a 13' ZL1 and pulled the fuse for his exhaust and it backfired so much it sounded amazing. I know the 1le and the zl1 both have a similar exhaust. Both having flaps. I found this link for a earlier model 1le but I just want to be 100% sure before I do it.
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=268970 How many of you all have done it? |

Yes that's how you do it, if you have NPP exhaust, not all 1LEs do.

Yes that is still accurate. I pulled mine with 21 miles on it and have loved every mile. I love the way it sounds, and most people don't believe that it's stock

Yes mine has the NPP quad exhaust. As soon as I get her home that's the first thing I'll be doing!

I added the exhaust mild to wild controller so I can have it both ways open or normal. there is a new controller that does open/normal/forced closed (to make quite escapes from home or inlaws house)

Will just leaving this open all the time honk-off the cops?

Mild 2 wild controller or the custom one so you can leave it closed all the time if you want.
ESPECIALLY if you add headers. My car is a NPP with open M2W controller and TSP 2" LT headers.

What can they do? It's EPA/CAFE approved.

Well, the cops can do whatever they like to you. But my question really is - "is this mod too annoying while driving around the neighborhood?" The cops can just decide you're too loud and stop you.
So, the aftermarket controller switches are just a convenience. |

In Md at least they can get you for modification to the exhaust system to the purpose of making the exhaust louder.
With my headers, I tend to close them when cops follow me.
