Billet Prototypes catch can vs. ?????

How does the billet prototype catch can compare to the others like Elite and Rev xtreme? Just wondering since they are quite a bit cheaper.

I've used Billet Prototypes catch can on my GTO, G8 and now my Camaro. I can't comment on how it compares to the others, but it works great. Here is a picture on the G8.

Thanks for the input. Does the bp catch can have a wire mesh in it like the others? Thanks for the help.

Installed Billet Prototypes catch can works like a charm. The finish and product is great and doesnt take up a lot of room. In less than 150 miles it grabbed about 3/4 ounce of oil. I post up pics later.

Isnt the wire mesh the main thing to make it condensate? It seems like the longer it is the more it can hold at a time. I dunno, maybe im not thinkin strait.

That's what ONE sponsor says. Just because they said it tho, doesn't mean it's the gods honest truth. " size don't always matter".

While for his catch can, yes, the size matters, because that's what he uses to condense the oil. Me? I use a dual filtration/condensation system. If it doesn't condense on the wire mesh, and rigged interior of the first chamber, then it will condense inside the bottom chamber. If it then passed by those THREE things, then it will have to get through yet another mesh filled chamber on the way out. And, that's not gonna happen.

Very easy to test the cans side by side. Get a clear glass inline fuel filter & plumb it inline between the outlet of the can & the intake manifold. With most cans even though they catch plenty of oil, they still allow some through.

We can argue all you want, but the truth is in the testing. Do it yourself & see.

I have had this challenge up for years and have yet to have a can outperform the RXperformance products oil separator. The Saiku Micchi is a close equal in effectivness, but does not have the integrated PCV/checkvalve & additional baffeling the RX can has. We have tested most every can I see on the market.

Of the mesh cans we have tested, the Mike Norris/CCA can performed the best, and from there the rest were all pretty close to each other.

All this aside, ANY of the good cans are very effective and will solve 95% of the oil ingestion issues so you can't go wrong with any of them.

The ebay empty cans & air compressor units all catch oil too, but let a bunch past same as an empty beer can does.

So no debates or arguing, test them for yourself.
