Been told by local dealer that I have a loose baffle and when they attempted to order replacement, they were told none in stock and could not estimate when they would be available for shipment. now its making a racket and to drive to Camarofest from Minneapolis Mn, that noise will make me a nut case...anyone have any suggestions?

Delete both of them for about 80 bucks if you dont like it when you get back find someone who took theres off i bet they will give them to you. Just have them cut it off and leave plenty of pipe to reinstall with. I think you will like it without the mufflers. I cut both of mine off and cut out the resonater and installed an xpipe and i am very happy with the sound.

I have over 60 sets at my shop, I'd recomend you going to all your local muffler shop's or performance shops and checking to see of they have any.

My dealership told me if I do ANY mods to my exhaust that GM voids the warranty on the ENGINE! I told them this was against Federal law to void the warranty for that.. but they stuck to their guns.. How the hell do I find out from GM if that IS their policy?

I'm not going to say what I think of your dealer's service dept. Especially, since GM sells an aftermarket exhaust for the SS.

Mine was the right side, same thing inside was bad, the they got the part in about a week, but the sent the whole exhaust from cats back.

What did it sound like and how could you tell the muffler is bad?
