I believe it does 0-60mph in 5.2 as well. Pretty quick little car. He wants to know how well the new Camaro V6 will perform in comparison.

That is an impressive 0-60, but as for the quarter mile expect the 2010 GT stang to be a good deal faster than the V6 Camaro. (but of course still slower than the SS!)

I don't think the V6 Camaro will be able to stay with this new Mustang GT. It will be quick, for sure...but so far 0-60 estimates have it at 5.9...so that's not quite fast enough to stay with the Mustang.

...lets throw the SS into that game, though.

The V6 will NOT be able to keep up with the GT.

Stock V6 Camaro will not beat a stock 2010 Mustang GT.
Why would it? It's heavier with less horsepower and MUCH less torque.

another dead horse to beat.

the v-6 will not beat the mustang GT unless an exceptionally skilled driver is driving the GT and my grandmother is driving the camaro. not saying it might not be close, but it wont be neck and neck

I had guessed 5.3 give or take .1 seconds for the mustang. The added HP just made up for the weight of the added hardware on new safety regulations.
Anyhow with the money you save getting the v6 camaro you can modify it and make it faster than the mustang if thats what you want. Why mess up such a nice ride right away anyhow you can always do some simple bolt ons as the become available. Or better yet just get the V8.
