Ls 18 inch low profile tires

Ok I am a noobie here. I posted on another thread but I would like to get everyone with knowledge to chime in. The steelies look good but are 33lbs which SUCKS! I am about acceleration. I want to go from 0-60 ASAP! I know there are many variables involved so lets not talk temp and surface stuff. I am looking at 18's that are 10lb lighter and wanting to add lower profile tires 5lb lighter themselves. The catch is the overall radius goes from 28.5 to 26.5 which I assume means speedometer recal. I feel I should notice the difference in acceleration though for sure. If I am wrong please let me know. I know 20's look best so I am not arguing this. A lowering kit should help this look down the road.

I'd think that would make a noticable difference. Cutting weight at the wheels makes a lot bigger difference than anywhere else on the car and making your tire shorter is like putting lower gears in the car. Post up pics and let us know what you think after it's done!

Yeah I think it would look good but the lowering is not the main thing right now. I have money to invest in my car, but it comes in waves, so I try to really educate myself and prioritize my investments. I have done some cosmetics and cai and now I am trying to figure out what is the best thing to do next. Exhaust and tires are at the top. I am trying to figure which will give me the most enjoyment off a light. LOL I am leaning towards the tires as those steelies are pretty heavy, but really want the exhaust sound. I know I will gain HP with exhaust, but I think I can FREE up more HP with this tire setup. Looking for educated opinions.
