muffler delete question - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

To anyone who has just deleted there factory mufflers, can you re-use your stock tips or do you have to get new ones? Are they bolted on and you can just take them off and re-use them or what.

they are welded.
you can cut the tips off and have them rewelded to the new pipes.

i wanted to leave mine intact (for some strange reason) so i had these welded on:

You'll have to cut them off and reweld them...thats what I did.

Not bolted on either...they are welded on there.

did anybody put an air intake when cut off mufflers .i cut mine .now it seems a little sluggish when i floor it it feels like its pulling back

HMMMM "I am Legend" wasn't holding back when he had the #1 2010 Camaro time at the track last week. The rest of us were stock...
