Cat Issue :)

Ok, I know the simple answer, but my daughter loves the cat. I have an outside cat that loves to lay on my new SS. Does anyone have any ideas on how to keep th ecat off the car? You see plastic owls on the decks of bay houses to keep the sea gulls away, so do you think a stuffed dog would keep my cat off the car? LOL. Any ideas besides the S&W MP45?

They are creatures of habit so if they like a location they will keep going back to it until a better location is found. So, identify another similar location (window ledge, shelf, porch step, etc) and place some catnip there to attract the cat.

BB Gun (don't be a sucky shot). Or if you don't mind getting your car wet, water.

Shock colar for dog...on the cat. Negative reinforcement for the win.

The only bad thing about doing something to the cat whilst it is on the car is that once you startle it... claws out. Hopefully you have it de-clawed :(

the best thing to do is drive the cat for a little cruise and just leave it in a nice place and drive off. and tell ur little girl it ran away or the other would buy a one of those cat cages and but it in there at night.

Catnip to draw it someplace else, water works great for training, but their claws will pop out

Place a blanket on the spot where the cat lays down. Then sprinkle some cayenne pepper on the blanket. It won't hurt the cat permanently. I seriously doubt it would go back there again. The pepper irritates the pads of their feet and if they sniff it... well... it's gonna burn a little.

I used this method to persuade some cats to leave my landscaping alone. Particularly a lace leaf Japanese maple they loved to dig around. Didn't use the blanket for the landscaping but I figured this would help to save your paint should the animal dig in and jump down suddenly. Plus I don't know if the pepper would do any harm to the finish of the car.
