Water spots?

I can't seem to get rid of all the water spots. Cna someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong? I hand wash, and then dry with one of those towels that are great at soaking up water. I know I sound retarted, but I can't for the life of me remember what they are called. Any advice is appreciated, thanks.

No matter how you dry or how quickly, you will get water spots. Try Zaino Z-6, gloss enhancer detail spray.

You need to use a detailer spray. Like Zaino Z-6, or EagleOne makes this protect called wipe and shine, really good stuff.

NO NO NO SHAMMY!!!!!!!

Get a waffle weave mf for drying and a PH balanced soap. Also use your favorite detail spray during drying.

If you have the money a water de-ionizer.

Help... I completely had my paint worked to remove swirls etc (black) by my buddy "Big Turkey" here in Houston. It looked marvelous!!!

I washed it Sunday in the sun, as I have no choice, and now it is covered in water spots. I use the Mr. Clean softener, but need a new filter. Kept rewetting the car until I finished, using the softener, used the blade, and the white mf waffle towel to dry. Went over it with Z8, and they still don't come off.

How will the ph soap help? I used a car soap product, I think Turtle Wax Ice or something. I think I just need to bite the bullet and get something for my water hose to help, though I don't know if the money is there for the de-ionizer, but might have to make it happen. Meanwhile... What can I do for what is there now?

I am so frustrated!!!

Ok I'll give you a hint, first lose the blade.

Second if you need something ASAP get a spray bottle with a 50/50 mixture of DISTILLED water and Vinegar.

Re-washing won't help

Wait... won't the vinegar strip the wax? If he uses that he needs to make sure to rewax afterwards.

Yes you are correct, but in a hurry that is the best route. You need something that is going to neutrilize the acid in the water spots that can damage the paint. Either order some PH balanced soap that will neatralize the minerals, get some spray that can take away the water spots safely or the 50/50 solution. There are multiple ways of doing things just depends one the route you want to take.

Wow, thanks everyone. Question, the discussions talk about doing it in a hurry, before it has time to etch and etc... If it is totally sunny and 90 degrees, how long is too long? I washed on Sunday, so have had 2 - 3 days of sun baking them on. Will the vinegar and water still work possibly, in this time frame?

Also, if I do the vinegar and water mix, and am not able to wax again for a few days, what issue might the delay in having the wax applied cause to the paint? Since I just had it fully buffed, polished and sealed, shouldn't the spots have been warded off more? Or does it get through the wax no matter what because of the minerals etc that are in the water?

If you have a good coat of wax/polish on it, they will come right off. My car sat, in the sun, for 5 days with sprinkler water spots on her - hard water. The spots washed right off. Now, my car had 4 layers of Zaino on her

If you do the 50/50 spray some Z6 and put a coat of Z2 or Z5 right after no waiting or anything.

You will be fine for a few days to get those spots out don't worry to much.
