Matte black AND Matte white camaros

I met a guy today at the gas pump driving this custom matte white camaro. He then tells me he also has a matte black camaro. I had to go see it. He builds custom cars for sports celebrities and was a super nice guy. He followed me over to my work so I could show him my Bumblebee Camaro.. we probably talked camaros for over an hour. Here's a few photos of his beauties. I especially love the matte black. Both cars had gloss trim and stripes which really set it off nice. If I did not already have the bee, I'd go matte black ! It was EVIL looking.

LeBron "Drama King" James was seen driving the white one. There is a video somewhere on here.

They look like plastic toys to me. I guess I'm just too old to appreciate them.

i'm not really a fan of the all one color look. white wheels maybe, but when it gets in the lights and grill it's too much imo.

kinda agree, The white is a nice color, but there is way too much white. Some black wheels, grille and some accessories would have helped it a lot better. The matte black car I like, but Ive always like Matte colors.

So how would caring for matte black paint be different from your normal clear coat?

I'm wondering if it would show off imperfections less than a glossy black.

Ive read that a good Matte Black paint job uses a clear coat.

The matte black one looks amazing, but the white one is just too much white....looks like someone dumped flour all over the car.

I don't get it as usual. The white lost all is character. The black looks like a 20 year old junker to me. What a shame. As post #4 said, it must be an age thing.
