MRT from 2.5"

Those of you with 2.5" pipes, what what are you using to transition to the 2 1/4 inlet on the mufflers?

Take a look at my vid, I got 2 pics showing what my shop used. I got lucky, they had an existing SS Stock system sitting in the back, so they just used piping from that to pair up the 2 systems. I would suggest looking at a junkyard or asking other local shops if they have any 2.5" piping that can be used for your car. Or you can have it machined, but it would probably be a little pricier than the first 2 options.

Thanks. Yeah, Im trying to get hold of take off SS pipes as well.

Oh and the shop cut down the reducers too on the mufflers down to he 2.5" part, you will see a close up off the weld in one of the pics.

just bought a mrt v1.0 excited to get it put on along with my lt headers and high flow cats and intake than getting it dyno tuned

I just Welded it to the 2.25 pipe. It fits over it with a bit of a gap so i put little spacers in to center the 2.5 over the 2.25 and filled in the gap.
