Roller Skates vs wheel weights
Just curious, I have an early release SS with the wheel weights on my brembo calipers. I want to have them powder coated or either paint them myself. Can you retro fit the earlier SS's with the roller skate fix? I am not that fond of it, but would rather see that than painted wheel weights on my brembos. Has anyone done this yet?
Thanks guys

Yes you can. There is a TSB out for Brembo squeal and they are replacing with the roller skates....and so far (crossing my FREAKING fingers) they don't squeal. They remove the weights in the process FYI. They only do the fronts though.

Sorry, but what is TSB? Is this a dealer thing you are referring to?

If you go into the dealer complaining about brake squeal, they should switch out your pads for the "roller skate" weighted pads.
The other alternative is to replace the OEM metallic pads with ceramic pads. You get rid of the unsightly weights and the black brake dust mess all at once. That's what I did...

Just buy aftermarket brake pads, that gets rid of the roller skates. The roller skates are attached to the pads themselves, not the calipers. Personally, I'd rather have squeal than to see those ugly things.
