i said this elsewere but i believe if you dont get the 2ss you shouldnt get Ambient lighting. but i could see leather as an option if it didnt come with the ambient lighting

I believe that if you get a 1SS, you should be allowed the option of the leather without the ambient lighting. Just a thought. I know that if the cost gets up there, I'd get a 1SS w/ leather.

But, I"m hoping for a 2SS/RS w/ LOTS of goodies!

I think they need to let us be able to delete leather from 2SS. I personaly like cloth, but like some of the other options in 2SS that is not available in the 1SS. Not really sure what to do at this point.

I'm voting YES.. I would like leather in the 1ss. I have no use for all that usb, bluetooth crap. I would also like to see the Midnight Silver wheels as an option without having to buy the RS package. I love the wheels, but have no desire for expensive lights.

Is it just the Bluetooth?

Actually its NOT too late. The car doesn't go into production until Feb. 16th therefore the ACTUAL orders are not in and the car isn't being made to your specs yet...We are able to change our orders up until probably 2-3 weeks before feb 16th...

Thats why we have these color polls for the blues, leather polls for the 1SS and polished rim poll for the RS package.

They are going to be relayed over to GM and we are hoping they respond and give us what we want. So vote yes, and we have a BETTER chance of getting this option approved!

I wish too that the 1SS would have an option for leather. In fact, It should it be a base v6 and a base v8 and then have all those other things as options priced reasonable but since I think on tracking the car then cloth is better on the corners and twisties...better grip on the butt-o-meter so I got the 1SS w RS package instead.

People... the camaro team had to FIGHT to get cloth as possible on the SS.. for that alone I am glad (dont want leather, do want V8). In general people who want leather also want the convience and gadgets that come with it.. so its bundled in the 2SS.

If you want leather just live with the fact that you are getting the whole package and step up. Otherwise it would have only been 1 trim at the SS level and it would have had everything ANYWAY.

I still say they can make it optional. Just because I want leather doesn't mean I want the rest of the stuff in the 2ss package. They made the radio a 500 dollar option, why not the leather? The dealer quoted me a 1000 for adding leather. Is that pretty much what it would cost? Does anybody know?

^You could always find someone from the south who has to get the leather with the 2SS but really does not want it and do a simple swap.

IF a dealer allows the sale of leather to a 1SS w/out the ambient lighting, it'll be done in a dealer and they will probably charge a lot.
