22"=more show than go.

They only look good if the car is lowered with the correct stance, which means no fender gap or else the tires look like rubber bands.

20" is perfect imo

(KnightRider don't mean to pick on you, just using your post for illustration)To everyone that says the ride will suffer, or your car will be slower, this is not true, at least not to the degree that people are leading on to. If you have not lowered your car and put 22's on then don't say that your ride will suffer.

I have Modulare 3 piece forged 22's on my car. I've driven on them from So Cal to Vegas, and from So Cal to San Francisco on several occasions. I've driven 8k out of the 20k miles that are on my car on the 22's. That whole time with H&R lowering springs. When I have the 22's on the ride is not much different, in fact in some ways it is better. The car takes humps on the freeway better than stock (with springs). My car is also supercharged. Now I'm sure the 22's will affect it on the track, slightly, but I don't feel any difference at all between them and the stock wheels. Even when it wasn't supercharged, it wasn't any different.

As for the tires being rubber bands, here's a couple pics to show that they are not thin sidewalls at all. Maybe that's why my ride doesn't suffer much, but just because you go with bigger wheels does't mean the tires are going to be thin.

SS Mike,
I don't know why but these pictures of yours make me regret not getting a CGM. Anyhoo, this is EXACTLY what I meant. Your car is one of the few with 22" that pulls off the look perfectly! Plus, you got the power to back up those bad boys. Love your car. Looks fantastic!

The 2006 Camaro 5th Gen Concept had 22's (rear) and 21's(front) and stole the show but GM thought they were too big and went with 20's all around. What's right for you is what matters. Go wirh you gut anddo it your way or take someone elses opinion and regret it later,

Haha, thank you. Black is sick though, don't regret that decision at all! True I have seen many cars with 22's on them with rubber band tires so i know what you mean. I just wanted to make sure people know that it doesn't HAVE to be that way. Yes, a little extra power doesn't hurt either Thank you for not getting mad at my post and understanding that it was nothing against you, I completely understand where you're coming from

Because of a sponsorship I have with Falken tires I had to put on tires that have the correct load rating for the car. That's why my tires have such a big sidewall in comparison to others with 22's. They are 255/35/22 front and 285/35/22 rear.

To me the biggest factor is the wheel's style. Some styles look great at 22" and others just don't look good to me at all. On the other hand all 20' look good and the best proportioned wheel is 21". The only bad thing about the 21" wheel is so few manufactures make wheels or tires for them.
