This thread is full of fail. I can't even comprehend the OP, and then he posts an old video comparing 2010's.

LOL ^^^ I almost said something about that. He probably had twin turbonators too. I agree, this thread is going nowhere fast.

2011 Camaro 2SS w RS package review by a mustang owner...positive comments.
This is a reprint from what i posted on allfordmustangs. I wanted to put hit here because i had some honest to goodness..positve comments.
AS for the negative parts..don't flame me, those were just my honest opinions. 2ss/RS with black on black. Roughly $38,000. Suprise..i liked it. The dash was not as bad as thought, the 2ss/RS package makes a difference. It was black with matt black rally stripes. It had a very cool LED light that went along the seam of the door panel and dash panels. The HUD display worked suprisingly well even in full daylight/full sunlight. I had no problems reading the display and or seeing the RPMs/speed and xm radio stations on the display. I did HATE the radio control/information control set up/console area, the mustangs (especially with nav) is worlds better. The extra performance gauges are a nice touch but probably more for looks than any practical use for a driver like me. The stereo sounded great...better than my shaker 500..not by a lot..but by a noticable amount. The engine sound on it was just no contest..mustang sounds better. (at least the 10 does, it was about on par with the 5.0...with a slight advantage maybe going to the 5.0). The v6 camaro sounded just plain awful..(think rice racer with a crappy exhaust.) The blind spots were even worse than i thought, however i actually understand that side view mirrors should NOT be aimed down the side of the car and with properly positioned mirrors and a bit of paying attention..i was comfortable making a lane change (for the most part..lol). Front view was "ok" as were the side views. The seats were SUPRISINGLY comfy..i really liked them as well as the white stitched leather. The ride was almost "cadilliac like" compared to my track pack 10 mustang...it felt like i had gone to a luxury car. However making a u turn in the camaro was no wear near as "quick" as spining my 10 gt around. While on the test drive, the salesman gunned it, pushed me back in my seat and i thought.."wow that really pulls harder". However there is an illusion when you are in the passenger seat in this area. When i drove it i pushed it from a dead stop to near read line at wide open throttle in 1st, 2nd and half way through third.... and while it definatley pulled harder there was no "wow". I would say it was about on par with the 5.0. Also like the 5.0..it felt like it REALLY had power up top and at the high speeds (possibly even more so ESPECIALLY compared to the 3.31 geared 5.0 manual i drove (dont yet know about the 3.73 5.0)).....and a serious advantage over my 10..(but i dont like driving at those speeds that get your car impounded and send you to jail so....i have mixed feelings about whats useful there besides getting me into trouble...lol). The shift was smooth and the clutch was mushy but "forgiving"...felt more like a luxury daily driver than the "racecarish" feeling of my track pack mustang...harder to find the "sweet spot" also... as it was long and "squishy". Don't get me wrong i liked it..it just felt more luxurous than performance oritented (clutch) (Edit: So....for the clutch i prefer the 10 mustang..for the gear box, i prefer the 11 mustang....with the camaros gear box falling right in the middle of the two some where.) The 5.0 however, has the best gear box. I say again..the 5.0 manual gear box is sweet...feels almost like a custom job right from the factory. It has very close and short shifts...and can be shifted with lightening speed without feeling like you hurt the car. One important note is the salespitch regarding the available supercharger: I am not sure how many people on here are aware, but about a week ago chevy announced a factory supercharger for the camaro. I got the email from camaro5 but have not yet looked up the specs. According to the salesman, its fully factory warrantied and they will finance it for you along with the purchase price of your car....lets call it a "pre-z28" option. Here is the sweet part..for around 48k, you can get the 2ss RS option..that means it has all the goodies, like the sound system upgrades, HIDS, HUD dispplay stitched leather..the list goes on.......and.. its around 650hp. I might be tempted to pay 48kiish for something like that factory and warrantied and financed.. (when compared to a 550hp 11 shelby for some where in the 52 to 56 neighborhood depending on options.) However, there are no incentives and no special interest rates..even on the 10s for the Camaro SS...which is dissappointing to the value conscious. If i were a full time student id be eligible for invoice pricing which...would bring it down to around 36k. And don't get me wrong, i am not say its not worth the price...im just a fan of my zero % financing and rebates. |

In a defence of v6 exhaust i can say : u should listen it after engine is broke in with at least 6-7k miles. When i got my v6, first week i was sure, im gonna get magnaflow. I was too lazy to do it. And it was good, cos now it sounds awsome. The way deeper and some louder.
And in defence of blind spots - again, after my 3000GT i had such problem only a week. Now il say - no problem. |

Pretty good write up, but you forgot to mention the part about the Camaro SS being 10x better looking than the Mustang.

if youre going to street race do it on a track not on the street or hwy with innocent people, case in point check out the kid in SD that WRECKED his cobra doing in excess of 90mph.. his car looks like a sardine can, i think he lost his legs and is prob gonna be discharged from the Navy. *sigh* poor kid, luckily NO ONE else was injured due to his stupidity.

Today I got some engine revs from a commercial van. I just looked back at the 2 guys sitting in it kind of confused, but of course they were joking...
