It seems like every other day there is one of these post on how some of the magazine "proffesionals" opinions should reflect our opinions on what car to buy , hell we would be buying a new car every month if we actually listend to them , I really dont care what Ford and Dodge are doing with their cars because I bought a Camaro because I liked it. I appreciate healty competition but damn, enough is enough already just buy what you want and enjoy what you bought. Myself and 99% of Camaor5 will congratulate you on your purchase no matter the brand. End Rant...................................

an acquaintence of mine has a 09' 427r. i love the sound of it. we haven't ever gone head to head, but that will change. we'll both be at cordova dragway (IL) on aug 15th. we will prob go up against each other a couple times.
i have a 2ss/rs a6 with cai, exhaust and a tune. with all that - im running 13.2 in 1/4 mile. heat/humidity/DA all play a big part in things - i think thats the reason i ran slower than i thought i should. was 85 degrees, fairly high humidity and DA was 1914. considering all that, i am not as upset about my times. there was also a 429r there the day i raced. driver was very cool - he was running 13.7s in the 1/4. not sure what his prob was. anyway - ill post on the 15th when i get back to let everyone know who won lol. |

Drivers race most likely. On a road course the 427R will smoke the camaro all day long.

I think it was car and driver that said for an everyday driver the mustang won but that was it. i hav an rsss ls3 6m custom exaust front to back, 6.5 lbs of boost from magnuson, the stock pully 315-35 on rear and they spin all the time that being said I have only lost to 1 stang and it was a blown out saleen he got only 1 car on me into 3rd gear i did the research by the #s he should have blown me away.http://www.camaro5.com/forums/images/smilies/chevy.gif
