Ticketed for no front plates

Just use a rubber o-ring between the paint and the washer/bolt/nut and you should be able to preserve the paint perfectly.

I don't really care too much about the paint under my bumper, if it was anywhere other than under my car then that would be an issue.

I used a strip of 3M double-sided tape and loctite on the screws, 8 months, two trips to the speedway and holding nice and tight.

Just so people know what to expect if they get ticketed my friend which is SAPD told me it's a 200 dollar ticket. He also stated he's gonna be looking for me while he's working and can't wait to bust my a$$ for no plate. He said he doesn't ever ticket for it but should start doing it. Too bad.

I was coming back from visiting my gf from SFA and a state trooper was coming head on and made a quick U turn and flipped his lights on. I ended up getting a ticket for no front plate even though it was displayed in my windshield. I got a warning for this about 5 months ago (except I didn't have a front plate displayed anywhere) and I thought warnings only stayed in the database for like a couple weeks but he said since I was warned already (back in april) he was writing me a ticket. So I have to call the court house in whatever red neck town I was in on tuesday about it. Is there anything I can try and argue? Thoughts?

How much did it end up costing you or did you get it dismissed?
