I just went on the Adams website and there are like a million different things I can get. I think I'm going to try and get a PC off eBay. But what kit do you guys think I should get from Adams?

I'm not bashing zaino. My car looked awesome when I was using it. It was a whole weekend though to do everything properly. Now given, I probably wasn't using proper washing technique back then and I was damaging the finish every time I washed it. I would have to redo the whole process once a month. Very labor intensive and time consuming. I just find Adams to be a quicker, easier way give me the same results as I would with zaino.

Both products leave the car looking amazing.

I have had 5 black cars and have tried a few a few things but NOTHING has worked like Adams along with the swirl remover .And I have tried Pinnacle , Poorboys (which I thought at the time Poorboys was the best ) You will need a Porter Cable in my opinion no matter what to get it done right . Maybe the most impoprtant step is how you wash and dry it . I have spent quote a few dollars in the past but I am sold on Adams . I have seen Junkmans videos are they are very well done , mine shines and no swirls and I am not even following all hist steps , i.e foam gun stc . It is basically the curse of owning black !

My car is black. I feel you...my car looked like you described.however..I dropped a few $$ on the Adams kit, with the pc, clay, orange, white and gray. Went through clay bar, etc...worth every dime!!! Beautiful finish!!

Don't think anyone is bashing... Zaino makes good stuff... just a different approach to the same problem.

take it from me.. a autobody guy and detailer.. black is a bi*ch.. the only way to get it looking brand new again is to wetsand the scratches out then compound and polish with a machine.. just be careful because if you dont know how to use that machine you can cause damage..

I wash my car like twice a month and wax it once a month and clay it once every 3 months. I use all proper methods but I know my paint can look better. The wax I use is the black box by turtle wax.

But I need help. I have to make my car look show room ready next week and I know that you guys know more about paint care than I do. Is there a cheap-ish (like maximum $120) kit that can make all my paint problems disappear. I have seen a few Adams videos on YouTube where he took a ferrari that had a bunch of scratches and made it look 100% new again. I want something like that.

Thanks in advance guys.

If you'd like a nice kit in the range of $120, then the Zaino Ultimate Protection Kit is perfect.

This is what I've got and LOVE IT. Awesome stuff. I have a bunch of Adams stuff too, but I absolutely love Zaino wash, detail spray and polish.

This kit has all the goodies you need for your baby and will make that paint shine.

For $120 you get:
-Cure accelerator
-Two different polishes
-Detail spray
-Wash
-Leather cleaner and conditioner
-Tire dressing
-Clay bar
-Applicator pads.

Give it a look.

You can wax and buy all the products you wish. But if the paint job is sub-par to begin with, only fix is new paint. theres thread here about the subject of poor paint frm GM. If i remeber reading correctly, while GM isnt admitting any faults, they are changing their paint or painting process. Cant remember which. Im sure if you ask around, youll find a lot of complaints about paint chipping. Mine has less than 2k on it and i have about six chips already.
