I just think that if they did it for the 4th gen and still made it cost effective, that they'd do this again for the 5th.

Don't worry about it...most ppl who own 4th gens don't even know it. The only exterior sheet metal parts on a 4th gen are the quarter panels, rockers panels and the hood. The doors, roof, and trunklid are all fiberglass, while the bumpers and fenders are urethane. The seems like a mish-mash of materials, but imagine what the already massive 4th gen would have weighed with all sheet metal.

Yup. Hood is metal. Front isn't fiberglass...scrapes on the curbs would eat it up in no time...eurothane or whatever that material is.
Front quarters and doors are fiberglass and rear quarters are metal. Don't know from experience what the trunk is. BUT...if you didn't know...here ya go...
